The petitioner has preferred the present writ petition inter-alia with the prayer to direct the Respondent No. 2/ District Magistrate, Shahjahanpur to take immediate action on the Fire Arm Area Extension Application of the petitioner which is still pending since 18.11.2024, expeditiously. 2. On the other hand, it is argued by the learned Standing Counsel that the competent authority in the matter is the State-Government. It is further argued that nothing has been brought on record by the petitioner that by which mode aforesaid application has been submitted by the petitioner. 3. At this point of time, a prayer has been made by the counsel for the petitioner to dismiss the present writ petition as not pressed with liberty to the petitioner to move a proper application for the extension of the Fire Arm Area of the petitioner before the competent authority on prescribed format. 4. Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed as not pressed with liberty as prayed. 5. In case such application is filed by the petitioner in proper format before the competent authority along-with the certified copy of this order within a period of three weeks from today. The decision will be taken on the same strictly in accordance with law, expeditiously and preferably within a period of two months thereafter.
