The petitioners have filed the instant writ petition praying for a writ of mandamus directing the respondents no.2 to 4 to grant permission to them to organize annual Mela Naumi Jahardiwan between 30.08.2025 and 29.09.2025. 2. The case of the petitioners is that they are holding customary Mela on annual basis and this year also they applied on 28.07.2025 before SDM, Chandpur, District- Bijnor for grant of permission to them to organize Mela. On the said application, the SDM, Chandpur sought a report from CO, SHO/Fire Officer and other authorities. According to the petitioners, they have also deposited the fees for inspection by the Electricity Department so that the required No Objection is granted. The other authorities have already given No Objection but the formal permission for organizing the Mela has not been granted so far. 3. Learned Standing Counsel very fairly states that respondent no.2 would take decision in the matter. 4. Accordingly, without expressing any opinion on merits, the writ petition is disposed of with direction to respondent no.2 or any official, to whom power has been delegated for the said purpose, to take appropriate decision on the application of the petitioners seeking permission to organize Mela. The petitioners will submit copy of the instant order before respondent no.2 positively within two days and respondent no.2 will take decision within ten days from the date of communication of the instant order.
