This Court, vide order dated 23.08.2024, passed in MCRC No. 4158 of 2024, while allowing the bail to the applicant, namely, Antim Sahu, had expressed its trust that the trial Court should make an earnest endeavor to conclude the trial expeditiously in accordance with law, preferably within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order, if there was no legal impediment. 3. The learned Special Judge (NDPS Act), Raigarh District- KUNAL DEWANGAN Digitally signed by KUNAL DEWANGAN 2 Raigarh (C.G) vide his request letter dated 30.01.2025 has requested for grant of some more time for concluding the trial. 4. It transpires from perusal of the PUD that in this case, the statement of only one witness has been recorded and the statements of 15 prosecution witnesses are yet to be recorded. The case was previously under the jurisdiction of the First Additional Sessions Judge for hearing cases related to the NDPS Act. However, due to the vacant in that Court, the concerned Court has been granted jurisdiction to hear NDPS cases as per the order of the Honorable High Court (Order No. 400/Checker/III-6- 1/(Part-III) N.D.P.S. Bilaspur dated January 8, 2025). Therefore, it is not possible to conclude the trial within the specified time, therefore, he prays for grant of further more time for concluding the trial. 5. The request appears to be reasonable. The concerned trial Court is directed to conclude the trial as early as possible, preferably within a further period of four months from today. 6. Accordingly, this CRMP stands disposed off with the aforesaid direction. 7.
