This Court, vide order dated 08.08.2024, passed in MCRC No. 5076 of 2024, while allowing the bail to the applicant, namely, Chiranjivi Nayak, had expressed its trust that the trial Court should make an earnest endeavor to conclude the trial expeditiously in accordance with law, preferably within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order, if there was no legal impediment. 3. The learned Special Judge (NDPS Act), Raipur District-Raipur (C.G) vide his request letter dated 31.01.2025 has requested for grant of KUNAL DEWANGAN Digitally signed by KUNAL DEWANGAN 2 sufÏcient time for concluding the trial. 4. It transpires from perusal of the PUD that the case was scheduled for the accused's statement on January 31, 2025, as the six-month prescribed by this Court for concluding the trial has ended on February 8, 2025. However, due to the absence of the stenographer and the Court staff on leave, the accused's statement could not be recorded. The stenographer has been on earned leave from 29.01.2025 to 07.02.2025, therefore, the trial could not be concluded, the case has been rescheduled for the accused's statement on February 12, 2025. Therefore, she prays for grant of further more time for concluding the trial. 5. The request appears to be reasonable. The concerned trial Court is directed to conclude the trial as early as possible, preferably within a further period of four months from today. 6. Accordingly, this CRMP stands disposed off with the aforesaid direction. 7.
