Engagement of respondent no.6 Ms. Rifat Ara, as ReT in PS Mirpora, Sheikh Mohall Salia Educational Zone Mattan is being challenged on the grounds stated in the instant petition. 2. Objections have been filed, in which respondents have specifically stated that petitioner, at the relevant point of time, had not applied for the post of ReT, therefore, it is submitted that she could not be considered once she has not applied for the said post. 3. A person, who applies for the post could be considered for the post. The enquiry report reveals that the petitioner has not applied for the post, therefore, he, obviously, could not be considered. It was at the instance of the petitioner that respondents conducted enquiry and made report. 2 5. It is most apposite to mention here that all the controversies concerning selections/appointments under Rehbar-e-Taleem (ReT) Scheme have been set at rest by the Supreme Court vide Order dated 14th October 2024 in Special Leave Petition (C) no.17409/2021 titled as U.T. of J&K and others v. Jatinder Singh and another. 6. In such circumstances, instant writ petition has become infructuous and is, as such, dismissed with connected CM(s). Interim direction, if any, shall stand vacated. 7.
