The petitioner is before this Court seeking the following prayer: “WHEREFORE, the petitiwoners most respectfully prayed that, this Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to: a) Issue writ in the nature of mandamus by directing the respondent to consider the request of the petitioner dated 28/10/2025 vide ANNEXURE- H and to reserve 17.15% tender work to the schedule caste community in all the tenders as per the government order in the ends of justice and equity. b) Issue any other appropriate writ/order or direction as this Hon'ble Court deems fit in the facts and circumstances of the case in the ends of justice.” 2. Heard Shri Lingesh V.Kattemane, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, & Shri D.J. Naik, learned counsel appearing for the respondent. 3. The Government of Karnataka on 18.03.2025 notifies an amendment to the Karnataka Public Procurement Transparency Act, reserving 17.15% of the tenders in favour of the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Community to encourage their participation in the procurement up to the value of rupees two crores. Non-consideration of the case in the - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC-D:18214 WP No. 109371 of 2025 ensuing tender is what has driven the petitioner to this Court in the subject petition. 4. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the representation of the petitioner would be considered qua the Government Order noted supra and appropriate action would be taken in accordance with law. 5. In that light, I deem it appropriate to dispose the petition with a direction to the respondent to take action in accordance with law, as is obtaining in the Government Order dated 18.03.2025.w Ordered accordingly.
