The petitioner has been made accused in connection with Herhanj P.S. Case No.57 of 2023, corresponding to G.R. Case No.350 of 2024, for the offences registered under Sections 406/420/467/468/471/120B of the I.P.C., pending in the Court of learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Latehar. Petitioner is alleged to have hired the truck of the informant at the rate of Rs.80,000/- per month. Thereafter, the petitioner decamped with the said vehicle. It appears that the petitioner is accused in as many as 17 cases of similar nature. Considering the criminal antecedent of the petitioner, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail.
