JUSTICE S.RACHAIAH) 1. This bail application is filed by the petitioner, who is arraigned as accused No.2, seeking for regular bail in Crime No.97/2022 of respondent – police, pending on the file of the I Additional District and Sessions Judge, Dharwad, sitting at Hubballi, in S.C.No.5100/2022. 2. This is a successive bail application filed for the same relief. However, on perusal of the entire petition, I am of the considered opinion that, no changed circumstances are made out to consider the said application. 3. In the meantime, learned counsel for the petitioner prays to give a direction to the Trial Court, not only to expedite the trial, but also to complete the said process with six months from the date of receipt of copy of this order. 4. Having considered the said submission, I am of the considered opinion that, though it is not proper to direct the Trial Court to complete the trial within six - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC-D:18427 CRL.P No. 104903 of 2025 months, however, in order to secure not only the ends of justice, but also to safeguard the personal life and liberty of the accused in securing the speedy trial, it is appropriate to give a direction to the Trial Court to expedite the trial and also to complete the said process within one year from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
