When the matter came up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the second respondent/defacto complainant wife would submit that the matter is already settled between the parties and she has no objection for the case being quashed by this Court. 3.In view of the said submission made and in view of the pronouncement of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India in B.S. Joshi and others -Vs- State of Haryana and Another (2003 4 SCC 675), since the issue relating to matrimonial discord has amicably been settled between the parties, I am of the view that this case calls for an exercise of the powers of this Court under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure. In view thereof, Crl.O.P.No.29955 of 2025 stands allowed and all further proceedings in CC No.67 of 2018 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Virudhachalam, shall stand quashed.
