JUSTICE R. T. VACHHANI Date : 07/10/2025 ORAL ORDER 1. Rule. Learned APP waives service of notice of Rule on behalf of the respondent–State. 2. Pursuant to the order dated 29.09.2025 passed by this Court, the petitioner has deposited an amount of Rs. 78,000/- before the Gujarat State Legal Services Authority, and the receipt evidencing such deposit has been placed on record. It is further submitted that the dispute between the parties has been amicably settled, and in support thereof, an affidavit of respondent No. 2 has been produced by the learned advocate appearing for the said R/CR.RA/466/2025 ORDER DATED: 07/10/2025 respondent. 3. In view of the settlement arrived at between the parties, the present matter stands disposed of accordingly. 4. Rule is made absolute to the aforesaid extent. Direct service is permitted today. Since the petitioner was taken into judicial custody upon execution of the bond, the Jail Authority is directed to release the petitioner forthwith, if he is not required in connection with any other case. 5. The amount lying with the Appellate Court, to the tune of Rs. 1,56,000/-, shall be released in favour of respondent No. 2, along with accrued interest, if any, after due verification by the Court concerned.
