The present appeal has been filed with the delay of 163 days. The appeal has been filed along with an application under Section 5 of the Limitation Act. The only reason shown for the inordinate delay of 163 days is that “due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the appellant-applicant is not able to file the aforesaid appeal within time”.

However, considering the fact that the appellant has nowhere stated as to the date on which she applied for the certified copy of the impugned order, and the date on which she received the certified copy of the impugned order, considering the fact that even in the COVID-19 pandemic, the litigants could file their cases through e-filing, the reason given by the appellant is not sufficient for condoning the

delay. Hence, the application for condonation of delay is dismissed. Consequently, this appeal is hereby dismissed on the ground of delay.
