THIS WRIT PETITION COMING ON FOR PRELIMINARY HEARING THIS DAY, ORDER WAS MADE THEREIN AS UNDER:
ORAL ORDER
(PER: THE HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE PRADEEP SINGH YERUR)
1. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned AGA for the respondents.
2. The present petition is filed by the petitioner seeking a writ of mandamus directing the respondent No.2 to consider review application dated 16.07.2022 and to pass suitable orders thereon.
3. It is the petitioner’s case that he is a cultivator belonging to a backward class and claims possession of Sy.No.62, measuring 5 acres 4 guntas, situated at Bomanahalli village, Shiggaon Taluk, Haveri District. His Form No.7 was rejected by the Land Tribunal in 1976, and the subsequent Writ Petition No.19067/1994 was dismissed in 2002. The petitioner then filed Form No.77(A) in 1999, but its consideration was deferred due to the pendency of the said writ petition. On 16.07.2022, the

petitioner filed a Review Petition vide Annexure-B, before respondent No.2 under Section 12 of the Karnataka Land Revenue Act, 1964, alleging administrative inaction, political interference, and harassment by landowners, including the registration of an FIR under the SC/ST Act.
4. This being the state of affairs, it is contended that despite issuance of notices to the concerned parties, respondent No.2 has not taken up the matter for
consideration, causing undue delay and hardship to the petitioner, which has adversely affected his rights. Hence, he has filed this petition.
5. The learned AGA submits that review petition application so filed by the petitioner will be considered in accordance with law, if reasonable time is granted.
6. In view of the submission made by the learned AGA, I pass the following:
ORDER i) The petition is allowed.

a. Writ of mandamus is issued with a direction to the respondent No.2 to consider the review application filed by the petitioner dated 16.07.2022 and pass suitable orders in accordance with law. b. It is needless to mention that if necessary parties have to be notified, the same shall be done by the respondent No.2 and the decision shall be taken in accordance with law within eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of the order. c. It is needless to mention that this Court has not adverted to the merits of the matter.
