The present writ petition has been preferred with the prayer to quash the FIR dated 6.9.2024 in Case Crime No. 2522 of 2024, under Section 135 of Electricity Act, Police Station Anti Power Theft Firozabad, District Firozabad, and for a direction to the respondents compound the case of the petitioner in pursuance of impugned First Information Report. The petitioner has been implicated under section 135 of Electricity Act which is compoundable offence. The petition is disposed of directing that in case the petitioner applies for compounding of the offence alleged before the court below within period of one month from today, he shall not be arrested for a period of six months or till the conclusion of compounding proceedings before the court below, whichever is earlier.
