Mondaal for the petitioner, Ripan Narzary @ Lepo. The petitioner has filed this application under Section 483 of the BNSS, 2023 prayed for bail as he is behind the bars since 12.02.2025 (for last 36 days) in connection with Gossaigaon P.S. Case No. 10/2025 under Sections 140(2)/308(2)/351(2)/3(5) of the BNS, 2023. Page No.# 2/2 Heard learned Addl. Public Prosecutor Mr. D. P. Goswami for the respondent State. The allegation against the petitioner is that he along with his gang kidnapped two boys and held them hostage and demanded a ransom of Rs.60,000/-. The money was demanded through a mobile No.7029742801, and the victim’s father was also threatened that the kidnapped victim will be killed, if the money is not paid. Learned Addl. Public Prosecutor submits that there are incriminating materials in the Case Diary against the petitioner. I have also scrutinised the Case Diary. There are indeed incriminating materials in the Case Diary against the petitioner and the investigation is still under progress at this juncture.
