1. The grievance projected by the petitioner is that the driving license bearing No. 63817/J was issued in his favour on 15th of August, 1992 and was renewed by Respondent No.3 under renewal No. 3063/MBD/BLA up to 23rd July, 2020 and when the petitioner again applied for renewal of the license with the Respondent No.3, he declined to renew the license, as a result of which the petitioner approached Respondent No.2 on 28th of March, 2022 for renewal of the license and completed all the formalities which were required for renewal of license but despite that, license of the petitioner was not renewed. The petitioner even claims to have served a notice upon Respondent No.2 and 3 for renewal of the license but till date, the license has not been renewed by the respondents.
2. Learned counsel for the petitioner has further submitted that office of the ARTO Baramulla in response to Application dated 17th of November, 2021 has communicated to Licensing Authority Motor Vehicle Department, Jammu that driving license was renewed by ARTO Baramulla up to 23rd of July, 2020.
3. It is evident that the Respondent No.2 is seized of the application submitted by the petitioner for renewal of license.
4. Notice. Notice waived by Mr. Jahangeer A. Dar, learned GA on behalf of respondents. He submits that the application of the petitioner shall be considered for renewal of the license in accordance with law.
5. In view of above, the present petition is disposed of by providing that the application of the petitioner be considered and decided in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of this order.
