ORAL ORDER
Sri Subrahmanya Bhat M, the learned counsel for the petitioner, without disputing that the petitioner has an alternative remedy under the Payment of Gratuity Act, 1972, submits that this Court could consider issuing a writ of mandamus to the first respondent to examine the petitioner's request in terms of the Legal Notice addressed reserving liberty to the petitioner to avail the remedy under the Statute if the respondents do not favour the request.
These submissions are considered, and this Court is of the view that the petitioner must avail the alternative remedy. Therefore, the petition stands
disposed of with liberty to the petitioner as aforesaid, but subject to all just exceptions.
