Heard Mr. A. M. Barbhuiya, learned counsel for the petitioners, who submits that the petitioners are aggrieved with the fact that they have not been
Page No.# 3/4 paid their arrear salary for 9 days for the month of February, 2024. 2. The petitioners’ counsel submits that the petitioners are serving as Assistant Teachers in SAM High School, Bahadurpur, Hailakandi, since 1991 and 2001 respectively. The petitioners have however not been given their salary for 9 days for the month of February, 2024 and in this regard, they have submitted a representation dated 07.05.2024 to the respondent No. 4 (Inspector of Schools, HDC, Hailakandi), requesting that the petitioners’ salary for 9 days for the month of February, 2024 should be paid. 3. The petitioners’ counsel submits that the petitioners’ representation has not been decided by the respondent No. 4 till date and as such, a direction should be issued to the respondent No. 4 to decide the petitioners’ representation. 4. Ms. P. Das, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent Nos.
1, 3 & 4, Mr. A. Chaliha, learned counsel for the respondent Nos. 2 & 5 and Mr. G. Pegu, learned counsel for the respondent No. 6 submit that they have got no objection to the prayer made by the petitioner’s counsel. 5. In view of the consent of the parties, the respondent No. 4 is directed to take a decision on the petitioner’s representation, for payment of their salary for 9 days for the month of February, 2024, after giving an opportunity of hearing to the respondent Nos. 7 & 8. The same should be done within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order along with a copy of the writ petition. In the event the respondent No. 4 comes to a decision that the petitioners are entitled to the payment of salary for 9 days for the
