For ready reference the prayer of writ petition being W.P (C) No. 2882 of 2015 is being quoted hereinbelow: (a) For issuance of an appropriate writ/order/direction be issued/ passed directing the Revisional Authority, Department of Mines and Geology, Government of Jharkhand, Ranchi to dispose of the Revision Case No.54 of 2015 expeditiously and preferably within such time period as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of the present case; 2 (b) For issuance of further appropriate writ/order/ direction, restraining the respondents from making settlement of Sand Ghats situated at Mauja Birdidih over Kanchi River and Mauja Salsud over Radu River till disposal of Revision Case No.54 of 2015; and (c) For any other appropriate writ(s), order(s) or direction(s) as may be deemed fit and proper for doing Petitioner. conscionable justice to the petitioner. 2. Mr. Indrajit Sinha, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner has submitted that the prayers made in these writ petitions are for a direction upon the revisional authority to dispose of the revision pending before it and also to restrain the State authority not to allot the Sand Ghat in favour of any third-party during pendency of the said revision case. It has been further submitted that the revision is of the year 2015 and the period for which the settlement has been made is also over and, as such, all these writ petitions have become infructuous. 3. Such submission has been made in presence of Mrs. Darshana Poddar Mishra, the learned AAG-I who has supported the submission made on behalf of the writ petitioner by saying that the period for which the settlement has been made having been lapsed and, as such, nothing survives to be decided in these writ petitions. 4.
