The petitioner has been made accused in connection with Sonari P.S. Case No. 02 of 2024, corresponding to G.R. Case No.300 of 2024 for the offences registered under Sections 147, 148, 149, 323, 324, 307, 384, 354, 379 and 506 of the I.P.C., pending in the Court of Smt. Sushila Soreng, learned Judicial Magistrate, 1st Class, Jamshedpur. On 01.01.2024, between 6:00 to 07:00 p.m., petitioner along with co- accused persons came to the house of the informant and pressurized him to compromise Sonari P.S. Case No. 107 of 2023 and 130 of 2023. It is alleged that when the informant refused to do so, co-accused Deepak Yadav, Osama Ansari @ Goldy and Sureman Yadav assaulted the brother of the informant by sword, due to which, he sustained injuries. It was submitted that as far as petitioner is concerned, there is no allegation of overt act against him. It was further submitted that similarly situated co-accused persons have been granted bail by this Court as well as by the Co-ordinate Bench of this Court. Learned A.P.P. has opposed the prayer for bail, but does not dispute the aforesaid facts. In view of the submissions made above, I am inclined to release the petitioner, on bail. Accordingly, the petitioner, named above, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of Smt. Sushila Soreng, learned Judicial Magistrate, 1st Class, Jamshedpur or her successor in connection with Sonari P.S. Case No. 02 of 2024, corresponding to G.R. Case No.300 of 2024. (Ambuj Nath, J.)
