HON’BLE SRI JUSTICE K.SURESH REDDY CRIMINAL PETITION No. 1916 OF 2025 ORDER: As per the directions of My Lord the Hon'ble the Chief Justice, this criminal petition has been allotted to this Bench by notice dated 25-03-2025 and the same is treated as part of the roster effective from 26-03-2025. 2. The present criminal petition, under Section 482 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (for short, 'BNSS'), is filed by the petitioner- accused seeking to release him on bail in the event of arrest in crime No. 231 of 2024 of Alipiri Police Station, Tirupathi District, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 336 (2), 337, 339, 303 (2), 305, 317 (2), 317 (5) and 238 of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. 3. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent-State would since submit that the offences alleged are punishable with imprisonment of seven years and less than seven years, this Court deems it appropriate to dispose of this criminal petition with a direction to police authorities to scrupulously follow the procedure prescribed under Section 35 (3) of BNSS and also the guidelines laid down by the Hon’ble Supreme Court in Arnesh Kumar Vs. State of Bihar1. 1 (2014) 8 SCC 273 2 4. With the above direction, this criminal petition is disposed of.
