ORAL ORDER
The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking for mandamus directing the respondent to consider the application for compassionate appointment vide Annexures - B and D dated 26.07.2016 and 15.06.2018 respectively.

Brief facts leading rise to the filing of this writ petition are as follows: The petitioner's husband late V.Manjunatha died on 26.07.2015 while he was serving as Head Watchman at the Food Corporation of India. After the demise of her husband, she has submitted an application for appointment on compassionate ground. As the said application was forwarded by the Area Manager to the respondent, the petitioner has submitted a representation on 15.06.2018 to consider the case of the petitioner for

appointment on compassionate ground. No action has been taken by the respondent on the representations submitted by the petitioner. Hence, this writ petition.
3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and also the learned counsel for the respondent.

Learned counsel for the respondent submit that, if reasonable time is granted, the respondent would consider Annexures B and D and pass an appropriate order in accordance with law.
5. In view of the submission made by the learned counsel for the respondent, the writ petition is disposed off directing the respondent to consider Annexures B and D and pass an appropriate order in accordance with law within eight weeks from the date of the receipt of the copy of this order.
