1. Present Public Interest Litigation (PIL) has been filed by students of second and third semester of LL.B course of different colleges in District Prayagraj alleging that proper toiletries are not being provided in the washrooms in the Family Court, Prayagraj. It is alleged that there is lack of proper sanitation facilities and also sanitary pad vending machines and breast feeding facilities.
2. Sri Ashish Mishra, learned counsel appearing for respondents no. 2 and 3 states that the fact finding report by the petitioners, annexed with the writ petition, is factually incorrect. He submits that separate male and female toilets are available on all floors of the building of Family Court. There is also facility of providing cold drinking water and separate waiting rooms for males and females. He also states that Infrastructure Sub Committee of the District Court has already taken steps to install sanitary pads vending machine.
3. In our opinion, the concerns, which have been raised in the present PIL, should be adequately redressed by the Infrastructure Sub Committee of the District Court.
4. We dispose of the instant petition by providing that Sri Ashish Mishra, learned counsel for respondent nos. 2 and 3 will apprise the Infrastructure Sub Committee of the concerns raised by the petitioners in the present PIL, so that remedial measures are taken expeditiously. .
