The following prayer has been made in the writ petition:- " Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent authorities to consider and decide the claim of the petitioner with regard to the illegal encroachment and the legal action against the culprits, pending before them within a short stipulated time as may be specified by this Hon'ble Court." 2. The case of the petitioner is that he purchased certain land by means of sale deed dated 26.06.2024 and constructed a boundary wall over it. On 03.07.2025, he came to know that respondent Nos.4 to 6 are illegally taking possession of the same. The petitioner has, therefore, prayed for a direction to the police authorities to take action against the private respondents. He also seeks to place reliance on a Government Order for declaring the private respondents as land mafia. 3. It is evident that there is a dispute between the petitioner and private respondents in relation to possession over the subject land. 4. The private respondents have right to place their version on record, in case, any proceedings are duly instituted against them in any court of law. The police authorities, merely on the basis of representation of the petitioner, cannot interfere in dispute over land between private parties. 5.
