, J.(ORAL) This Criminal Writ Petition under Article 226/227 for issuance of writ in the nature of mandamus for issuance of direction to respondents No.1 to 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners and to restrain the private respondents No. 4 to 7 not to harass the petitioners.
Learned counsel for the petitioners is not convinced with the speaking order and is persisting for issuance of notice of motion, resulting that no statement of father of the girl has been recorded and factum of compromise has not been entered into. “Request is made that a writ. No. CRWP-8052-2025 has been filed by Yadvinder Singh & Another in the Hon'ble Punjab and Haryana High Court, Chandigarh against his father Dharminder Singh, mother Karamjit Kaur, uncle and his elder son Sukhdeep S/o Hira Singh, aunt Kiranjit Kaur and wife Hira Sing The above writ petition has been examined by the ASI Angrej Singh 3698 During the examination, the petitioner Yadwinder Singh and his wife Gursharan Kaur were called to the police station and their statements were recorded. In their statement, they said that on 24-07-2025, I got married against the wishes of my in-laws' family members, regarding which I had filed a writ petition for the safety of Yadwinder Singh and his wife Gursharan Kaur, feeling threatened by father Dharminder Singh, mother Karamjit Kaur, uncle's brother Sukhdeep Singh son of Hira Singh, aunt Kiranjit Kaur wife of Hira Singh. Now that the petitioner Yadwinder Singh and Gursharan Singh and their in-laws' family members have agreed to the marriage life, now they have no grievances against father Dharminder Singh, mother Karamjit Kaur, uncle's brother Sukhdeep Singh son of Hira Singh, aunt Kiranjit Kaur wife of Hira Singh, who are living happily. The above petitioner is not facing any threat from his in-laws. The above petitioner yadwinder Singh and his wife Gursharan Kaur do not need security.” On a specific query put by this Court, learned counsel for the petitioner is totally ignorant and not aware of the Standard Operating Procedure and putting reliance on gazetted notification No.HOMEHM-40 40SECM/14/2025-2H4/63 dated 23.01.2025 issued by the Department of Home Affairs, Punjab, Government of Punjab (Home-4 Branch) according to which in case of any grievance left after passing of the NISHA 2025.09.03 10:05 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

speaking order by any of the parties, they have a right to prefer an appeal before the Appellate Authority constituted under that SOP.
