(Oral) The petition has been filed inter alia seeking a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to re-fix/revise the petitioner’s pension with effect from 01.01.2016 along with all consequential benefits including arrears with interest at the rate of eighteen per cent per annum. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that grievance raised herein is pending for appropriate decision before the respondents. At this stage, the petitioner will be satisfied in case Registrar of the University is directed to decide his pending legal notice, dated 27.05.2025, Annexure P-6, in a specified period. 3. Notice of motion. 4. Mr. Amit Sahni, Additional Advocate General, Hayana, accepts notice on behalf of respondents no.1 & 3/State. On the asking of Court Mr. Shreenath A. Khemka, Advocate, appears and accepts notice on behalf of respondent no.2/University and submits that the pending legal notice, dated PAYAL 2025.07.28 18:37 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document CWP-21277-2025 -2- 27.05.2025, will be decided by University Registrar, by passing a speaking order in accordance with law, within a period of three months by affording due opportunity of hearing. In case the petitioner is found entitled to the benefits claimed, the same shall be released to him within a period of six weeks therefrom. 5. In view of the statement made, learned counsel for the petitioner has no objection to the petition being disposed of in terms thereof. 6. Ordered accordingly. 7. In case the order is not passed within the stipulated period, the officer concerned shall pay costs of ₹50,000 to the petitioner.
