Mr. Arvind Kumar Srivastava, learned advocate appears on behalf of petitioner and submits, prayer of his client is for providing security/gunner in view of order dated 2nd January, 2025 of the Supreme Court in Writ Petition (Criminal) no. 45 of 2017, (Manjit Singh GK & another vs. Union of India & another). On query he submits, order stands disclosed at the page 18. 2. Mr. Raj Mohan Upadhyay, learned advocate Additional Chief Standing Counsel appears on behalf of State and draws attention to said order dated 2nd January, 2025 of the Supreme Court and submits, in paragraph 8 there is direction for providing petitioner with security. The paragraph is reproduced below:- "8. It is clarified that such police protection, after assessing the threat perception, shall be provided not only to the petitioners but also to the local parokar, namely, Mr. Surjeet Singh Oberoi also." 3. Petitioner has said in paragraph 1, inter alia no other writ petition has been filed or pending on same cause of action before the two Benches of this Court. However, petitioner has direction from the Supreme Court on same cause. We restrain ourselves from imposing cost. 4. The writ petition is dismissed as petitioner has direction for relief on the same cause from the Supreme Court, as made in said order dated 2nd January, 2025 (supra).
