The instant writ petition has been filed for the following relief:- "Issue an order or direction, directing the learned Additional District and Sessions Judge, Court No.18, Meerut to decide the Misc. Appeal No.62/2019 (Sanjay Prakash vs. Anand Goel), under Section 22 of the U.P. Urban Buildings (Regulation of Letting, Rent and Eviction) Act, 1972, expeditiously, within a time bound period." 3. Counsel for the petitioner states that the petitioner is the landlord and the appeal under Section 22 of the U.P. Act No.13 of 1972 filed by the tenant-respondent is pending before the appellant court/Additional District and Sessions Judge, Court No.18, Meerut since 2019. He further placed the certified copy of the order sheet, in order to demonstrate that the case is not proceeding expeditiously. 4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this petition is disposed of with the direction to Additional District and Sessions Judge, Court No.18, Meerut to decide the aforesaid appeal to its logical conclusion, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of 3 months, from the date of production of a certified copy of this order before the authority concerned, after affording proper opportunity of hearing to the parties concerned, in accordance with law.
