PUBLIC PROSECUTOR The Court made the following: 2 THE HONOURABLE DR JUSTICE VENKATA JYOTHIRMAI PRATAPA CRIMINAL PETITION NO: 1926 of 2025 ORDER: This Criminal Petition, under Sections 480 and 483 of the BNSS, has been filed by the petitioner herein/Accused, seeking regular bail, in Crime No. 187 of 2024 of Anaparthi Police Station, East Godavari District, registered for the offence punishable under Sections 328, 380 of IPC. 2. Case of the prosecution, in brief, is that, on 10.08.2024, the accused by informing that she has no one and asked to provide work in the house of the defacto complainant and as his wife is suffering from some mental illness due to the death of their son, he engaged her services. In the evening when he returned, he found his wife in drowsy condition. On 06.08.2024 when he opened the Almyrah in connection with Varalakshmi Vratham, he found missing of gold chain with Mangala sutram and when inquired his wife, he came to know that the accused on the pretext of Prasad gave some Cova, later she became drowsy. Therefore, he gave report and during investigation, the Police arrest the accused and seized the stolen property from her possession. 3. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Assistant Public Prosecutor representing the respondent/State. Perused the material on record. 4. Learned Counsel for the petitioner would submit that on execution of P.T.Warrant, the petitioner was taken into custody in the present case since 3 16.08.2024. The petitioner is ready to furnish the sureties to the satisfaction of the Court. Learned Counsel finally prays to allow the petition. 5. Learned Assistant Public Prosecutor vehemently opposed the petition. Learned Assistant Public Prosecutor would further submit that the charge sheet is filed in this matter in the month of September, 2024 itself. The case is in progress. Petitioner also involved in twenty two (22) other cases, it will be very difficult for the prosecution to secure her presence if she is released on bail. Learned Assistant Public Prosecutor finally prays for dismissal of the petition. 6. Considering the submissions made and a fair look at the material placed on record, as the petitioner is involved in 22 other case and charge sheet is also filed in this case on 11.09.2024. This is not a fit case of release of the petitioner on regular bail. However, the learned Presiding Officer of the Court is requested to dispose of the case as expeditiously as possible without giving any adjournments in a casual way by mere asking. 7. Accordingly, the Criminal Petition is dismissed.
