Heard learned counsel for petitioners and learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel appearing on behalf of State-respondents. 2. By means of the present writ petition, a direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents not to interfere in peaceful marital/live-in life of petitioners, has been sought. 3. Learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel, on the basis of instructions, stated that both the petitioners are residing at Pune and no cause of action arises in the State of U.P. and no incident has been disclosed in respect of the allegation whatsoever has been put-forward through the application preferred at the behest of the petitioner nos. 1 and 2 before concerned Superintendent of Police. 4. In view of the above, no cause of action survives for pressing the instant petition preferred at the behest of the petitioners, since the police protection cannot be provided apart from territorial jurisdiction of Uttar Pradesh and as such, the petition stands dismissed.
