The petitioner states that it has been one of the Government of Tamil Nadu’s recognised empanelled advertising agencies since 1990. It is further stated that the respondent had entrusted the petitioner with the publication of specified advertisements in both English and Tamil dailies. 3. According to the petitioner, it published 38 advertisements in the English dailies and thereafter raised invoices in accordance with the rates prescribed by the Government of Tamil Nadu. As per the terms of the engagement, the respondent was required to make payment within four weeks from the date of submission of the bills. However, the respondent has failed to make payment in terms of the invoices. Aggrieved thereby, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 21.06.2025 calling upon the respondent to settle the outstanding amount, but the same has not yet been considered. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis WP No. 33386 of 2025 __________ Page3 of 4 4. Learned Government Counsel appearing for the respondent, on instructions, submitted that the petitioner’s representation dated 21.06.2025 would be considered and appropriate orders would be passed on its own merits within the time frame fixed by this Court. 5. In view of the aforesaid submission made by the learned Government Counsel, the respondent is directed to consider the petitioner’s representation dated 21.06.2025 on its own merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of.
