The husband of the petitioner was attacked by an elephant on 23.05.2024. He died on the same day. Instant petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking directions to the respondents to grant compensation and appropriate relief to the petitioner for attack of an animal. Learned State Counsel was required to get instructions. Learned State Counsel, under instructions, would submit that as per applicable Rules, Rs.6 Lakhs as compensation has been paid to the petitioner and that has been deposited in her account. He has tendered for perusal of the Court the instructions, which he received. Let it be taken on record. The petitioner has claimed compensation on the death of her husband, which is caused by an elephant. As per instructions, Rs.6 Lakhs has been paid as compensation to the petitioner. In view of it, nothing survives in this petition. It stands disposed of accordingly.
