Patgiri, for the petitioner Pranab Jyoti Dutta who has filed this application under Section 483 of the BNSS, 2023 with prayer for bail as he is behind bars for 84 days in connection with North Lakhimpur Police Station Case No. 23/2025 under Sections 126(2)/118(2)/109/3(5) of the BNS, 2023. 2. Case-diary is not received but the injury report of the victim Mahendra Borah had been forwarded which clearly reveals that the victim has sustained grievous injuries on his head as well. 3. I have considered the length of detention. It appears that further custodial detention may not be required for the progress of investigation. 4. The petitioner has pledged to co-operate with the remaining part of investigation and to abide by any stringent bail conditions if imposed upon him. 5. Considering all aspects, petition is allowed. The petitioner shall be enlarged on bail on furnishing a bail bond of Rs. 50,000/- with a suitable surety of like amount to the satisfaction of the learned CJM, Lakhimpur, North Lakhimpur, under the conditions that: (i) The petitioner shall appear before the Investigating Officer on every fortnight till completion of investigation, (ii) The petitioner shall refrain from such activities with which he is alleged, and (iii) The petitioner shall not leave the jurisdiction of the Court without prior Page No.# 3/3 permission. 6. On breach of any of the bail conditions, the Court is at liberty to immediately cancel the bail granted to the petitioner. 7.
