GP FOR SERVICES IV The Court made the following ORDER: Heard Sri S.Karunakar, learned counsel representing Sri S.Devakumar, learned counsel for the petitioner, Sri S.Raju, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Services-I for respondents 1 & 2 and Smt.V.Sireesha Rani, learned standing counsel for 3rd respondent. 2. The petitioner, Senior Assistant, Office of Nidadavolu Municipality, filed the above writ petition complaining of inaction on the part of the 2nd respondent in disposing of the appeal dated 21.07.2012 (Ex.P.2). 3. The Regional Director and Appellate Commissioner, Rajahmundry by proceedings Rc.No.1396/2011/A3, dated 14.05.2012 imposed punishment of stoppage of two increments with cumulative effect. 2 4. The petitioner filed an appeal against the said proceedings (Ex.P.1) vide Ex.P.2 to the 2nd respondent. The appellate authority has not disposed of the appeal so far. The petitioner made a representation through the Commissioner on 16.04.2021 requesting the appellate authority to pass necessary orders in the appeal. The Commissioner, Nidadavole Municipality also addressed a letter to the 2nd respondent vide Lr.Roc No.2024/C1, dated - 11-2024 intimating to the 2nd respondent that the petitioner is going to retire from service on 28.02.2025 on attaining the age of superannuation and further requested to dispose of the appeal. 5. Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Services-I submitted the instructions of the learned Commissioner. The instructions indicate that the appeal has not been disposed of so far. 6. Since there is no dispute regarding the appeal filed by the petitioner vide Ex.P.2 and the same is pending for consideration for two years on the file of the 2nd respondent i.e. Director of Municipal Administration, A.P, the Writ Petition is disposed of at the admission stage with the consent of learned counsel on either side directing the learned 2nd respondent to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner against the order Ex.P.1 within four (4) weeks from today, strictly as per the Rules. Learned Assistant Government Pleader shall communicate to the 2nd respondent regarding the order passed by this Court. No order as to costs.
