S. No. 3 Regular Cause List IN THE HIGH COURT OF JAMMU & KASHMIR AND LADAKH AT SRINAGAR
CCP(S) No. 219/2025 In CM(M) No. 87/2025
Naseer Ahmad …Appellant/Petitioner(s) Through: Mr. Shuja-Ul-Haq Tantray, Advocate Vs. Najwan Nazki, Deputy Labour Commissioner, Srinagar ...Respondent(s) Through: CORAM:
HON’BLE MR JUSTICE VINOD CHATTERJI KOUL, JUDGE
O R D E R 21.07.2025 Initiation of contempt proceedings for willful disobedience of judgement dated 26.03.2025 passed by this Court in CM(M) No. 87/2025, whereby case of petitioner was remanded back to respondent No.1-DLC to be considered afresh and disposed of with reasonable promptitude and it was also directed to pass in this regard a speaking order after affording a reasonable opportunity of being heard to the parties, preferably within a period of six weeks from the date copy of the order was made available to respondents, is sought for in this petition. The only grievance of the petitioner is that the respondent is not deciding the matter, therefore, he has committed the contempt of Court. Having regard to the judgement passed in CM(M) No. 87/2025, I find that there is no contempt committed by the respondent, as such, the proceedings in this petition are dropped and contempt is closed. However, petitioner shall be at liberty to approach the concerned authorities for early decision in the matter.
