ORAL ORDER
This petition is filed by accused No.1 under Section 482 of BNSS praying to grant anticipatory bail in Crime No.255/2025 of Puttenahalli Police Station, registered for offences under Section 351(2), 85, 318, 77 read with 3(5) of BNS and Section 3 and 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act. 2. Heard learned counsel for petitioner and learned Additional SPP for respondent/State. 3. Learned counsel for petitioner would contend that the marriage of the petitioner with the complainant has taken place on 15.12.2024. The petitioner is working in a private office and there are false allegations of him having contacts with the persons residing abroad. The complaint contains false allegations against the petitioner. The

offences alleged against the petitioner are not punishable either with death or imprisonment for life. The petitioner is ready to co-operate with IO in the investigation and abide by conditions to be imposed by this Court. There are no criminal antecedents of the petitioner. With this he prayed to allow the petition. 4. Per contra, learned Additional SPP would contend that the averment of the complaint clearly indicates the acts of this petitioner harassing the complainant physically, mentally and sexually. The petitioner is stated to have recorded the intimate moments of himself with the complainant. There is assault by this petitioner on the complainant on 22.09.2025 and she has taken treatment in the hospital. The petitioner is stated to have fixed CCTV camera in the house. The investigation is in progress and petitioner is required for custodial interrogation. With this she prayed to reject the petition. - 4 -

5. Having heard the learned counsels, the Court has perused the FIR, complaint and other materials placed on record. 6. Petitioner is the husband of the complainant and their marriage has taken place on 15.12.2024. After marriage the complainant resided with the petitioner and his family members in their house.
The allegation in the complaint is that the petitioner and his family members received dowry at the time of marriage and the petitioner stated that he is already married and complainant is his second wife and he is having physical contacts with 19 women and he has recorded the intimate moments of himself with the complainant in his mobile and sent them to his clients residing abroad. He was insisting the complainant to have physical contact with his clients residing abroad and that he will give divorce to her. 7. The offence alleged against the petitioner are not punishable either with death or imprisonment for life. The petitioner is not having criminal antecedents. The

petitioner has undertaken to co-operate with IO in investigation and abide by any terms and conditions to be imposed by this Court. Considering the above aspects, the petitioner has made out case for grant of anticipatory bail with conditions. In the result, the following:
ORDER
The petition is allowed. The petitioner is ordered to be released on bail, in the event of his arrest in Cr.No.255/2025 of Puttenahalli Police Station, subject to following conditions: (i) Petitioner shall voluntarily appear before the IO within 10 days from this day and execute bail bond for a sum of Rs.1,00,000/- (Rupees one lakh) with one surety for the like sum to the satisfaction of the IO. (ii) Petitioner shall co-operate with the IO in the investigation and appear before the IO whenever called for.

(iii) Petitioner shall not threaten the complainant and other prosecution witnesses. (iv) The petitioner shall not directly or indirectly make any inducement, threat or promise to any person acquainted with the facts of the case so as to dissuade him from disclosing such facts to the court or to any police officer or tamper with the evidence.
