Serial No. 51 SUPPLEMENTARY LIST IN THE HIGH COURT OF JAMMU & KASHMIR AND LADAKH AT SRINAGAR CCP(D) 25/2025 in [LPA 17/2024] JAMEEL AHMAD KHAN AND ANR. …Petitioner/Appellant(s) Through: Mr. M. A. Wani, Advocate Vs. MOHAMMAD AIJAZ ASAD AND ORS. ...Respondent(s) Through: Mr. Wasim Gul, GA for R-3 and 4 Mr. Mohammad Younis, Advocate for R-1 and 2 CORAM: HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE SANJEEV KUMAR, JUDGE. HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE SANJAY PARIHAR, JUDGE. ORDER 31.07.2025 1. Pursuant to order passed by this Court on 30-07-2025, the District Programme Coordinator, MG-NREGA, has issued order No. 50/DDC of 2025 dated 30-07-2025, whereby the petitioners have been allowed to continue. Copy of the said order, which is passed on by the learned counsel for the respondents, is taken on record. 2. In view of the order dated 30-07-2025 (supra), passed by the District Programme Coordinator, MG-NREGA, the judgment passed by this Court dated 04-10-2024, stands complied with, though belatedly. 3. Since the judgment passed by this Court called upon respondents to reinstate the petitioners herein forthwith and the disengagement order issued by the District Development Commissioner on 05-05-2021 was quashed. It took about almost ten months to comply with the judgment without any explanation. As a matter of fact, the contempt committed by the respondents has not been fully purged nor the respondents have shown any remorse for not complying with the judgment for almost ten months. However, with a view to put quietus on the matter, we dispose of this contempt petition giving one more opportunity to the respondents to treat the petitioners as having been reinstated in service with effect from 04-10-2024 with all consequential benefits. 4. Let the needful be done within a period of two months from today and, in case of failure, the petitioners shall be at liberty to file a fresh contempt petition.
