In the present writ petition filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, prayer is made for issuance of a writ in the nature of Mandamus for issuance of directions to the respondents to release all the retiral benefits to the petitioners and release the arrears alongwith interest from the date of retirement till realization. 2. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioners, on instructions from the petitioners, submits that at this stage, the petitioners will be satisfied if a direction is given to respondent No.2 to decide their legal notice dated 12.5.2025 (Annexure P-6), in a time bound manner. 3. Notice of motion. 4. Mr. Puru Jarewal, DAG, Punjab accepts notice on behalf of respondent No.1 and on the asking of the Court he also accepts notice on behalf of respondents No.2 and 3 and he does not oppose the prayer, as made by the learned counsel for the petitioners. In view of the above and without commenting upon the merits of the case, the present writ petition is hereby disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2 to decide their legal notice dated 12.5.2025 (Annexure P-6), within a period of 08 weeks from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order. 6. Needless to say that the legal notice shall be decided in adherence with the principles of natural justice by giving due opportunity of hearing to the petitioners and by passing a detailed and reasoned speaking order. 7. Disposed of in the aforesaid terms.
