JUSTICE R DEVDAS ORAL ORDER It is the contention of the petitioner that having regard to the service rendered by the husband of the petitioner in the Indian Army, 6.00 Acres of land in Sy.No.72 of Oolavadi village, Kasaba Hobli, Chintamani Taluk, was granted in favour of the petitioner free of cost in the year 1973. Pursuant to the grant, Saguvali Chit was also issued in favour of the petitioner in the year 1974 as can be seen at Annexure-F. However, till date the name - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:31273 WP No. 22193 of 2025 of the petitioner has not been entered in the revenue records and therefore, the prayer in this writ petition is to direct the 4th respondent-Tahsildar, Chintamani Taluk to enter the name of the petitioner in the revenue records. 2. Having regard to the facts narrated hereinabove, this Court is of the considered opinion that the 4th respondent-Tahsildar is duty-bound to consider the representation given by the petitioner. This writ petition itself shall be treated as a representation given by the petitioner. 3. Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of with a direction to the 4th respondent-Tahsildar, Chintamani Taluk, to peruse from the records as to whether the land in question has been granted in favour of the petitioner and whether Saguvali Chit has already been issued in favour of the petitioner. If such facts are borne out from the records, the 4th respondent-Tahsildar shall proceed to enter the name of the petitioner in the revenue records as expeditiously as possible and at any rate within - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:31273 WP No. 22193 of 2025 a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
