JUDGMENT
The petitioner, who was working as a High School Assistant (HSA), has filed the captioned writ petition, pointing out that, on account of an audit report, which has been prepared after his retirement, an amount of Rs.4,46,424/- is found payable by the petitioner. In such circumstances, the petitioner seeks 36 instalments to repay the afore overdue amount.
2. On a consideration of the averments made in the writ petition as well as the contents of the Revenue Recovery Act, 1968, I am of the opinion that the petitioner, a retired teacher, can be permitted to clear the afore arrears in 24 equal monthly instalments.
Resultantly, this writ petition is disposed of, permitting the petitioner to clear the arrears referred to above, in 24 equal monthly instalments, commencing from 10.05.2025.
