The petitioner through instant petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India is seeking direction to respondents to consider his claim for Deputy Commissioner (‘DC’) rate. 2. The petitioner is claiming that he is working with respondent since 1995. In January’ 2012, he was given option to opt for either DC rate or basic plus dearness allowance. He opted for basic plus dearness allowance. On 31.10.2023, Indian Council for Child Welfare was dissolved and Chandigarh Child and Women Development Corporation was constituted. The petitioner was appointed on contractual basis. He is working as a contractual employee. He is not paid even DC rate.
