District & Sessions Judge, Chitradurga, in C.Misc.no.380/2019, this petition is filed. 2. Smt.Padmavati S Uttur, learned counsel for respondent at outset, submitted, writ petition is filed after period of 05 years and suffered from delay and laches, without any explanation in petition. Therefore, seeks dismissal of writ petition. 3. Sri R Shashidhara, learned counsel for petitioner seeks time to amend writ petition for including explanation for delay and laches. 4. Heard learned counsel and perused writ petition record. 5. Perusal of order impugned would reveal that learned District Judge allowed petitioner's application for determination of compensation towards damages and awarded Rs.6,47,610/-. Said order was passed on 26.08.2020. However, writ petition was filed on 04.02.2025 without any semblance of explanation for approaching this Court belatedly. Though, request for - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:34116 WP No. 3541 of 2025 adjournment is made to file application for amendment to include explanation present writ petition having been filed and pending, and petitioner being fully aware of order, it is too late for petitioner to seek permission to amend writ petition.
