JUSTICE R DEVDAS ORAL ORDER Learned Additional Government Advocate is directed to take notice for the respondents. 2. The prayer in the writ petition is to issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondent-Tahsildar to consider the representation dated 06.11.2024 given by the petitioner at Annexure-E. In the representation, the petitioner is contending that 2 acres 36 guntas in Sy.No.36 of Angadagere Village, Mayasandra Hobli, Turuvekere Taluk, Tumkur District, was granted to the *petitioner’s *grandfather late Sri.Thimmaiah S/o Ramaiah, and his name was *Corrected vide Court Order dated 09.09.2025 - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:31656 WP No. 14285 of 2025 entered in the RTC. It is contended that after the death of Sri. Thimmaiah, the property devolved on the petitioner, who is the son. Therefore, a direction is sought to the Tahsildar to enter the name of the petitioner in the revenue records. 3. Having regard to the prayer made in the writ petition and submissions of the learned counsel, this Court is of the considered opinion that respondent No.2- Tahsildar, Turuvekere Taluk, Tumkur District, is duty bound to consider the representation given by the petitioner and pass necessary orders for entering the name of the petitioner in the land records. Needless to observe that the Tahsildar shall verify the original grant register, the saguvali chit issue register, and other contemporaneous records to find out about the genuineness of the grant made in favour of the *petitioner's *grandfather. If it is found that the grant is made in favour of the petitioner's father and revenue records stood in his name, *Corrected vide Court Order dated 09.09.2025 - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:31656 WP No. 14285 of 2025 the Tahsildar shall proceed to enter the name of the petitioner in the land records. 4. The entire exercise shall be completed as expeditiously as possible and at any rate within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Ordered accordingly. 5.
