JUSTICE VIJAYKUMAR A. PATIL) This contempt petition is filed alleging willful disobedience of the order dated 19.09.2022 passed by the learned Single Judge in W.P.No.18617/2022. The operative portion of the direction reads as under: "4. Having regard to the prayers made in the writ petition and the contentions of the petitioners, this Court is of the considered opinion that respondent- Tahsildar, Kolar Taluk was required to consider the representations on their merits. If the Tahsildar is of the opinion that there were no grants made in favour of the original grantees, then he is required to summon the Original Grant Register, Saguvali chit issue Register, Mutation Register and all the correlating documents and verify the same in the presence of the parties so that the parties would be satisfied that the original records have been looked into. If it is found on verification that the grants made are genuine, then the Tahsildar shall proceed to consider the grievance of the petitioners and pass necessary orders after issuing notices to any other party concerned. 5. Consequently, writ petition stands disposed of with a specific direction to respondent No.4 - Tahsildar, Kolar, Taluk to comply with the direction issued herein above and pass necessary orders as expeditiously as - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:41329-DB CCC No.231/2023 possible and at any rate within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order." 2. We have perused the affidavit filed by the Tahasildar dated 23.07.2025 and 25.09.2025. 3. The affidavit dated 25.09.2025 indicates that the jurisdictional Tahasildar has carried out the exercise as directed by the learned Single Judge and issued endorsement dated 24.09.2025. In view of the said endorsement, the present contempt proceedings are dropped. It is needless to observe that it is open for the complainant to challenge the same, if so advised.
