This Writ Petition (Cr.) under Article 226 of the Constitution of India has been filed with a prayer for issuance of an appropriate writ (s)/order (s)/direction (s) to the respondent authorities to do proper and speedy investigation of Doranda P.S. Case No.146 of 2023 registered for the offences punishable under Section 406, 420, 419, 34 of the Indian Penal Code. 3. Learned Senior Counsel for the petitioner submits that the writ petitioner filed a written application with the Doranda Police Station alleging commission 2 W.P. (Cr.) No.215 of 2025 of the said offences and basing upon the same Doranda P.S. Case No.146 of 2023 has been registered. It is next submitted that though more than 1.5 years have elapsed from the date of registration of the FIR but no progress in the investigation has been made as yet, hence, it is submitted that prayer as prayed for, in this writ petition, be allowed. 4. Learned counsel appearing for the State submits that respondents are duty bound to ensure proper and speedy investigation of the Doranda P.S. Case No.146 of 2023 and will take the investigation to its logical conclusion. 5. Having heard the rival submissions made at the Bar and after considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to ensure proper and speedy investigation of the Doranda P.S. Case No.146 of 2023 and take the investigation to its logical conclusion preferably within a period of three months from the date of receipt of this order. 6. This W.P.
