Yadav, learned counsel for the petitioner who has made a prayer for grant of further extension of the interim bail granted by this Court vide order dated 26.09.2024 which period expires today. 2. The petition has been filed by the aunt of the accused person in question. 3. It is the submission of the learned counsel that because of the formalities of receipt of the sanction for the cost of the treatment of the accused by the mother of the accused from the Government and the subsequent illness of the mother of the said accused who is supposed to escort him for his treatment at CMC, Vellore, the accused person was finally able to proceed to the said hospital and had gone for his medical consultation on 22.05.2025. He was advised to wait for the report which in all probability may be for a recommendation of his further treatment at the said hospital. Since he is still undergoing treatment, the learned counsel has made a prayer that the interim bail granted may be further extended. To support his case, the learned counsel has annexed the appointment slip at the CMC, Vellore concerning the said accused person at Annexure-VIII (page 28 of this petition). 4. Mr. K. Khan, learned P.P has no objection to the prayer made by the learned counsel for the petitioner on the ground that the same appears to be genuine. 2025:MLHC:442 3 5. Therefore, on consideration of the submission made and on perusal of the petition, including the relevant annexures, this Court is convinced that the interim bail granted to the accused person be extended. 6. Accordingly, the interim bail granted vide this Court’s order dated 26.09.2024 is hereby extended for another 90 days’ period counting from today. At the end of the said period, the accused is directed to report himself before the prison’s authority at the District Prisons and Correctional Home, Ri Bhoi District. 7. Copy of this order to be issued upon the Superintendent, District Prisons and Correctional Home, Ri Bhoi District for necessary information. 8. Petition disposed of.
