THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE HARINATH.N WRIT PETITION NO: 4732 OF 2025
ORDER:
1. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is displaying/conducting skill games such as Ring Throw, Ball Box, Dart Throw, Spiel games during the festivals and other Jataras. It is submitted that the petitioner is physically challenged and is eaking out his livelihood by conducting skill games which are only seasonal and get little income for him. Though the games which are proposed to be conducted by the petitioner are not banned or prohibited under the Gaming Act. The respondent/authorities are not permitting the petitioner to conduct Skill games during festivals and Jataras.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Assistant Government Pleader for the State.
3. Considering the submissions, the petitioner is at liberty to submit a fresh representation to the concerned Station House Officer where the petitioner intends to conduct said games and on submission of said representation, the Station House Officer shall permit the petitioner to conduct skill games as stated above.
4. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed off. There shall be to costs. no order as As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
