JUSTICE G BASAVARAJA ORAL JUDGMENT Learned counsel for the appellant has filed a memo for withdrawal, which reads as under: "It is submitted that the appellant has filed the above Criminal Appeal being aggrieved by the judgment of conviction dated 18.12.2018 and sentence dated 19.12.2018 passed in S.C No.41/2017 by the II Addl. District and Sessions Judge and Special Judge at Davanagere for the offence punishable under Sec.376 & 417 of Indian Penal Code and Sec.6 of the POCSO Act. It is submitted that the appellant has undergone imprisonment and has paid the fine imposed on him by the II Addl. District and Sessions judge and Special Judge at Davanagere in S.C. No.41/2017 and he has been released from Shivamogga Central Prison on 03.03.2025. The copy of the Release Certificate dated 03.03.2025 issued by the Chief Superintendent is produced herewith and marked as DOCUMENT No.1.
