Learned Additional Advocate General submitted that in compliance of the impugned order, action was initiated against the encroachers by issuing appropriate notice, which was the subject matter of challenge before this Court in W.P.No.19896 of 2024 and batch of writ petitions. 3. The above writ petitions were entertained and an interim order was passed directing respondents to give a report to find out the possibility of any regularisation scheme, pursuant to which, the Government has constituted a Committee to conduct detailed study of all buildings in Mahalingapuram area and New Scheme Road in Pollachi Municipal Limits and to analyse the current status by granting six months time to the Committee to submit the report and _________ https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis Sub.Appln.No.747 of 2025 recommendations. The interim order also directed to maintain status quo and also not to take any coercive steps against unauthorised constructions and further directed the individuals not to put up any additional construction during the pendency of the writ petitions. 4. The time of six months granted to the Committee has been further extended by six months vide letter dated 13.03.2026, which is yet to be over. 5. In view of the aforesaid, we do not see any cause to re- open the contempt petition. Accordingly, the sub application stands rejected for the present.
