JUSTICE R DEVDAS ORAL ORDER Learned High Court Government Pleader takes notice for the respondent. 2. The petitioner is seeking a writ of mandamus directing respondent-Tahsildar, Bhadravathi Taluk, Shivamogga District, to consider the representation dated 16.02.2024 at Annexure-A and enter the name of the petitioner in the revenue records based on the grant certificate dated 18.11.2017 at Annexure-B. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was granted land in Sy.No.37 to an extent of 4 acres and 20 guntas of Kudligere Hobli, Honnahatti Village, Bhadravathi Taluk, Shivamogga District. Thereafter, saguvali chit was issued to the petitioner on 18.11.2017. However, the name of the petitioner has not been entered in the land records. - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:31672 WP No. 28972 of 2024 3. The writ petition stands disposed of with a direction to respondent-Tahsildar, Bhadravathi Taluk, to verify the records and find out if grant was made in favour of the petitioner and whether saguvali chit was issued in favour of the petitioner. If it is found from the records that the facts stated hereinabove are true, then the Tahsildar shall proceed to enter the name of the petitioner in the revenue records. The entire exercise shall be completed as expeditiously as possible and at any rate within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. This direction is issued only to enable the entry of the name of the petitioner in the revenue records. Ordered accordingly.
