This writ petition has been filed with the following prayer:- "I-Issue a writ order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondent no. 2/Additional Commissioner, Administration, Varanasi Division, Varanasi to decide the pending cases bearing 53 of 2002-2003 (computerized case no. Zamindari Abolition and Land Reforms Act, 1950 and also decide the stay application dated 01.05.2025 pending before him within stipulated period as directed by this Hon'ble Court." 2. It is contended by learned counsel for the petitioner that against the order passed in declaratory proceedings under Section 229B of U.P. Z.A. and L.R. Act, 1950 an appeal under Section 331(3) of U.P. Z.A. and L.R. Act has been filed which is pending consideration before respondent no. 2 since 203. The sole prayer made in the writ petition is for expeditious disposal of the same. 3. As no useful purpose would be served in keeping the matter pending, the writ petition is being disposed of, at the admission stage, without calling for counter affidavit or issuing notice to private respondents, with a direction upon respondent no. 2 to decide the Case No. 53 of 2002-2003 (Computerized Case No. C2003140000343) (Mohan vs. Phool Chandra and others), in accordance with law, after hearing all affected parties, preferably within a period of two months from the date of production of certified copy of this order. 4. With the aforesaid directions, writ petition stands disposed of. 5. It is made clear that this Court has not adjudicated the matter on merits.
